Happy Birthday America!!

We were lucky enough to be back home in Minnesota over the 4th of July. Even though I didn't get many good pictures, it was one of the best days home! We were able to enjoy the morning in the pool. Then, head over to a BBQ at my brother Matt's(thanks for hosting Matt!). Then, we were able to walk over to the best fireworks I have seen in years.
We had toys but she seemed more interested in playing with all our stuff. The most haliarious part was when Kourtney spit up and half my family almost lost their dinner;) Don't think we will be seeing little ones from them for awhile. Ok I'll be honest, I think it is less the throw up and more that my 4 kids scare the crap out of all my brothers and sisters.

Of course Lucas needed to document the experience too. Too bad all his pictures are big blurs. It's ok though, he has time to prefect his photography before he becomes a professional.

Uncle Nick and Auntie Erica taking a break after being at the park with the kids.

During the BBQ the kids made up a new game, hide-and-text. They take all the cell phones and each of them hide and then have to text the seeker one thing they can see as a clue to where they are. Technology has taken a wierd turn. They couldn't stop the texting.

Of course sometime you have to get a picture of the picture taker and Sunshine always makes a good addition to any picture.

This is my favorite picture even though it is blurry. Aren't Uncle Matt and Auntie Becca cute with the kiddos!

Once the fireworks got started no one could take their eyes off of them. Even though I live in the greater DC area, there is nothing like hometown fireworks!!

All in all, it was a wonderful 4th of July. I only wish that I could spend every year with our family!
Miss you guys xo

Celebrating Kourtney June's Baptism

During our trip back to MN we were able to schedule Kourtney's Baptism at our church. It was so great that family was able to be there! She did great and was so mesmerized when the water hit her head.

It was such a great moment but the funniest thing happened right in the middle...Lucas couldn't stand still, like a 2 year old does, he bumped the Paschal candle and it was totally falling. I don't know how I did it but I grabbed it before it fell. Call it mother's intuition! That's why Dad is holding him in the picture ;)

It was great that Pastor Todd was able to Baptise our little Sunshine. He was at the church when I was younger and was the youth pastor. I went on many trip with Habitat for Humanity with him. It was great seeing him and being a part of our special day!

These are Kourtney's Godparents...Uncle Nick and Auntie Erica. They are so great with her!

Back to the angel of the day...

Really, she just says it all!

The baptism of a baby is such a wonderful day that brings you closer with your family and your faith. XO

Can You Say Lame...

Ok, I have been severely slacking on my blogs. I can't believe how long it's been since I posted :( No one can keep up with our family craziness if I don't post ;)

We are going on vacation in a few days and I should be able to fit in a few minutes to blog while I am watching my kids by the pool! My goal this summer is to post once a week...If you think I need a kick in the butt to get me going send me one...talk to you soon!

The Days Just Slip Away - Sunshine is 5 Months!

I just can't believe that is has been 5 short months since I had my little Sunshine(Kourtney). It feels like she has been a part of our family for a lifetime and she just fits right in :) A friend of mine recently came by to take some wonderful shots of her and each of them just capture her personality perfectly...
This is her "formal" shot. She just looks so big I want to turn back time already. This one also captures how easy going and relaxed she is all the time.

I love this one! She kept taking the little fringe trying to eat it, so adorable!! It also shows me that she still is little and not as big as I think.
This is my absolute favorite! She was getting to the point of crankiness and totally done with the pictures all together. I started to shake her little legs to get her attention and she thought it was the most halarious thing. She kept laughing and laughing. I have to say this was my favorite part of the day and this is who my Sunshine is each and everyday. She can always bring a smile to your face no matter what time a day or what is going on in our craziness:))

Rainy Sunday In!!

I have to say my kids have been a challenge since Kris left for his training but these rare moments I catch just melt my heart!

It has been pouring rain all day so we haven't done much but play video games and watch movies! That is my favorite kind of Sunday! However, with the mulitple TVs, multiple computers, multiple electronic devices we are rarely in the same room all at the same time (which is a shame). All 3 of them getting along and being anywhere near each other is a rare sight. Luckily I was able to snap a few pictures before they saw me;)

They picked out a movie together and decided on an Ice Age marathon! After awhile I couldn't resist joining them. Snuggling with all the LOs is priceless!

Sunshine couldn't hang with everyone and ended up falling asleep:) She needs her beauty rest anyways.

These moments are what you end up remembering long after they have past!

Join in our craziness!

I have really been getting into this blog thing...I like writing my Fit Momma of Four Blog which is centered around health and fitness and now have so many thoughts swirling around in my head related to my family. We have so many pictures and so many great stories behind them that I want to share them with you!

We are jumping in midway into the story so those that don't know will have to catch up;) I hope you enjoy my perspective of our life and stay on for the ride through all our craziness!
